My PC doesn't show up on the Mac

Same network?

• The Mac and the PC must be on the same network. A guest network or a second router in between keeps them apart.
• On the Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → Overtoaster must be on.

Is Overtoaster running on the PC?

1. On the PC, open Start → Overtoaster.
2. The window shows Running at the top. If it doesn't, click Start it.
3. Open PC check: anything red has a Fix button.

The firewall

The installer adds a Windows firewall rule called Overtoaster (LAN), for your home network only. Another security program (an antivirus with its own firewall) can still block it: allow Overtoaster there too.

Type the address

In Overtoaster on the Mac: Pair a PC → Type the address instead, and enter the PC's IP address (on the PC: Settings → Network → Ethernet → IPv4 address).
